How Google Toolbar can be usefull.

Yesterday, I was having some problems with a project of mine.  First, a Fujitsu Siemens RX300 server with ESXi installed, was giving me a warning that the “ chassis" was open.”   Later, I ran into a problem with the migration of SBS 2003 to SBS 2008.  I tried to find a solution online, but all my online “sources” seemed to fail on me.

However, I found my solutions eventually.  On two occasions I was “helped” by Germans who’ve had the same problems.  Well, I won’t “personally” helped by them.  I found posts on a German forum that described my problem, and offered the solution.

Unfortunately, I’m not familiar enough with the German language to understand what they were talking about.  So, that’s where Google Translate came in.  If you’ve got the Google Toolbar installed; websites in another language (in this case, in German) can be translated into a bunch of other languages.  The translations aren’t perfect; but they allowed me to understand how I could solve my problems.

In the end, I came to the conclusion that both of my problems are rather “Europe” related.  FSC sells a lot of machines in Europe and Asia, but not so much in the English speaking countries.  And for the other solution / problem… read my next post.
