Don’t forget to update your 2-factor settings

If you have recently changed phone numbers, now would be a good time to check if you’ve updated your settings in sites like Google, WordPress.com and others which use your phone number to recover your password; or which use them for 2-factor authentication.

If you’re using an authenticator app, and just switched phones, the same advice applies. Log in (while you still can) and add those codes now that you still can.

Why now? Well, today is as good as any other day, really. Just don’t postpone it until you can no longer recover the password for that crucial account you needed to login to.
